Thomas (T.J.) Fuqua, DMD, MD
Dr. Thomas H. Fuqua, Jr.grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. After completing his undergraduate studies at Auburn University, Dr. Fuqua received his dental doctorate from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in 2003. He then earned his medical degree from UAB in 2006. Following a general surgery internship, he completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at UAB in 2009. He now returns to the Auburn-Opelika community to join Dr. James D. Grady as a part of Oral and Facial Surgery of East Alabama. He also serves as a member on the medical staff at East Alabama Medical Center.
Dr. Fuqua is board eligible with the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is an active member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, as well as the American Dental Association, and the American Medical Association. He maintains a strong interest in dental implant placement, orthognathic jaw surgery, obstructive sleep apnea, and correction of traumatic facial injuries.
